The Apra Greater Houston Scholarship is generously supported by Roslyn Francis.

The Apra Greater Houston Scholarship is based on merit and financial need. The award recipient will receive a stipend of up to $500 to be applied toward professional development activities or travel to professional development activities of the award winner’s choosing.  Scholarship selection is determined by the Apra Greater Houston Board of Directors. You must be an Apra Greater Houston member to apply, and you are not eligible if you have received an Apra Greater Houston scholarship within the previous 12 months.

One scholarship award winner will be selected annually, on the first Thursday in June. The recipient will be expected to present what they learned at an Apra Greater Houston lunch and learn event within six months of the event the scholarship is used towards. Copies of all receipts for expenses must be turned in to the chapter treasurer in order to receive reimbursement.

Potential uses for this grant can include, but are not limited to, web-based learning tools such as a webinar or online class, classes for job-related skills such as SQL or Crystal, Apra International Conference, regional conference or educational offering.
