An online donation or e-commerce platform that accepts personal credit card data (and potentially stores card data for recurring payments) is a prime target for a financially motivated attacker. A data breach can impact your organization on many fronts, hurting your reputation with donors or members, creating an immediate financial burden to respond to the breach and potential long-term financial hardship with lawsuits and card issues. To prevent such incidents, Payment Card Industry (PCI) established data security standards (DSS) to protect cardholders and merchants involved in payment card transactions.

Organizations that comply with these standards can reduce the risk of a data breach while improving efficiency and establishing increased trust and use.

Join us for a discussion as we provide some insights on the notable requirements and clarifications that have been introduced in PCI DSS 3.0 and 3.1.
