Kristen is responsible for implementing the strategic direction of the Center through ensuring the continued quality and growth of professional development opportunities for staff, volunteers and board members serving mission-based organizations. She is a skilled facilitator and trainer and offers executive coaching for current and emerging leaders in the nonprofit field.
Her educational background includes an undergraduate degree in Marketing from the University of Houston and a Master of Public Affairs in Nonprofit Management and Master of Arts in Philanthropic Studies from Indiana University through the O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs and the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy respectively.
Her previous professional roles have included board and volunteer development, talent management and implementing strategy for program and revenue growth for social service and education nonprofits.
She was a member of Leadership Houston’s Class XXIX and has served the community through board leadership as a past board member for the Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater Houston Chapter and the Junior League of Houston. She currently serves as a member of the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance Leadership Circle at the University of Houston, Nonprofit Academic Affinity Advisory Committee for OneStar Foundation, Advisory Committee for Power Tools for Nonprofits Conference and the local advisory board of Delta Zeta Sorority.
